SENATE JOINT MEMORIAL 104
3rd Reading (House)
Hearing protection act
SUPPRESSORS – Stating the findings of the Legislature and urging the United States Congress to pass the Hearing Protection Act.
RS31316 / SJM104
Currently, gun suppressors are heavily regulated under the prohibition era National Firearms Act of 1934. The United States Congress has before it the Hearing Protection Act which would reclassify gun suppressors to be regulated as a regular firearm. This Joint Memorial expresses the desire of Idaho gun owners, sportsmen, and hunters to encourage the United States Congress to pass the Hearing Protection Act and allow Idaho’s law-abiding gun owners to protect their hearing while enjoying their shooting sports activities.
