APPROPRIATIONS – EDUCATION – Relates to the appropriation to the Office of the State Board of Education and the State Department of Education for fiscal year 2025.

This is the trailer appropriation bill to House Bill 634, which changes the state agency that oversees the Broadband Infrastructure Fund from the State Department of Education to the Office of the State Board of Education.
This bill provides a net-zero impact on the General Fund by reducing $3,430,000 from the State Department of Education and adding the same amount to the Office of the State Board of Education. The all-funds fiscal impact of the bill provides a reduction of $626,000 from the Broadband Infrastructure Fund to align the appropriation for the Office of the State Board of Education with estimated cash balances.
