State dinosaur designated
STATE SYMBOLS – Adds to existing law to designate Oryctodromeus as the state dinosaur.

RS30361C1 / S1127

This bill adds a State symbol by amending Idaho Code, Chapter 45, Title 67, by the addition of a new Idaho Code § 67-4516, to designate and declare Oryctodromeus (Ory) as the State dinosaur of Idaho. Paleontologists have only found this creature in Idaho (and a very small corner of Montana). Seventeen other states have a designated state dinosaur.

The fiscal impact is expected to be less than $1,000 to the General Fund because the bill only changes an action of the statute and has no other cost.
