SENATE BILL 1223
Commerce and Human Resources (House)
State procurement, notice
STATE PROCUREMENT ACT – Amends existing law to revise a provision regarding notice of a solicitation.
RS30788 / S1223
Idaho statute 67-9208(2) requires a very specific description of products and services that are being solicited. This change proposes that the sentence in the statute is updated to sufficient detail to apprise the vendor of the specifications or required outcomes property being sought. Also, since solicitations are administered electronically, the requirement for bid closing location is outdated.
This legislation will have no impact on the state’s General fund or any dedicated fund or federal fund because the structure and staffing are currently in place to implement the statute.
