Grazing rights, state land
GRAZING – Adds to existing law to provide for permits.

RS30928C1 / S1243

This legislation would allow certain State grazing leaseholders to apply to the Idaho Department of Lands to convert a grazing lease into a grazing permit for a very narrow set of qualified lands.

There would be no impact to the General Fund because the Idaho Department of Lands will no longer incur the costs of the current bidding process. Therefore, there may be a de minimis savings to the Idaho Department of Lands due to reduced administrative expenses, which will be used very rarely.
