Prostitution, minors, exemption
PROSTITUTION – Amends existing law to prevent a commercially sexually exploited child from being charged with prostitution.

RS31026 / S1344

Currently a child under eighteen can be charged with prostitution. This legislation would define a sexually exploited child and provide law enforcement the ability to remove the exploited child without arrest.

There is no projected fiscal impact from this legislation as it does not require financial changes to affected agencies.
