LIENS OF MECHANICS AND MATERIALMEN – Amends existing law to provide for persons engaged in the business of or acting in the capacity of a contractor.

This legislation clarifies who is entitled to a right to lien under Idaho Code 45-501. The bill creates consistency in definitions with Idaho Code, Title 54, Chapter 52.

Because the bill only clarifies and makes consistent two sections of code, there is no fiscal impact to the General Fund.
